Kaylin (Year 12)

Subjects Studied: Politics, History, English Literature, Law
Ambitions:  I hope to achieve a career in Law.

Why St Robert’s: St Robert’s gives me countless opportunities in all areas, not least with help deciding future careers. It has achieved amazing grades in A Level with teachers who ensure we reach our full potential. St Robert’s has a well known reputation in doing this which is why I decided to stay on to Sixth Form as I knew how outstanding the college resources are, both in terms of equipment and teachers. I have great opportunities for a variety of visits and to achieve awards such as Duke of Edinburgh and John Paul II. This gives St Robert’s the edge over other sixth forms and colleges.

Hannah (Year 13)

Subjects Studied: Geography, Law, Religious Studies
Ambitions: to study for a degree in Human Geography at university and then pursue a career within International development.

Why St Robert’s: I moved to St Robert’s Sixth Form from Biddick Academy. I chose to come here, not only for their well known exam success, but for the wide range of extra curricular activities. IN the last year I have had the once in a lifetime chance to travel to Zambia to work with the charity Sport in Action. Additionally I’ve had the opportunity to take part in the Sixth Form Council, Prom Committee and raise money for charity. One of the highlights for me was meeting one of my best friends from an international exchange that St Robert’s runs. Overall, St Robert’s has provided me with opportunities outside of the classroom that no other Sixth Form would be able to.

Why St Robert’s: Over the last five years, St Robert’s has made me feel very comfortable and therefore to come back to study at their Sixth Form for an additional two years was an easy decision to make. From their excellent teaching to their wide range of A Level subjects on offer, St Robert’s is a fantastic environment to study in. Not only is it highly successful regarding its academic achievements, it is also excellent at developing life skills of the individual students such as meeting deadlines, which has allowed me to feel well-equipped for the challenges of university life.

Patrick (Year 13)

Subjects Studied: Psychology, RE, History
Ambitions: To go to university and study to become a paramedic.

Why St Robert’s: I started Sixth Form here at St Robert’s in 2015 and I can honestly say it is one of the best choices I have made. St Robert’s provides the perfect blend of structured lessons and independent learning that no other Sixth Form or college in the area provides. I feel I have benefitted greatly by the pragmatism of the teachers who have kept me to a rigid course whilst also allowing me to learn in the ways that benefit me. I would definitely recommend St Robert’s as a Sixth Form due to the unique learning environment that provides everyone with the academic platform to succeed.
